Best Bras for pain

I was a Tammy Girl teen. I put on my first cotton crop top from the Brighton store when I was about 12 and I loved it. Warm and snuggly. At that age and for a few years I was happy in that crop top as I remained an A cup for a long while. However as I grew up things and my breasts started to change. I started to have feeling of falling forward and no matter how often the ballet teacher told me to stand with my shoulders back, I couldn't help but feel gravity pulling on me and the chicas.

I eventually graduated to the M&S bra fitted brassieres but I immediately felt off. While I was a B -C cup by my early 20s my bras would dig into me and my chest and shoulders and clavicle skin. One strap would end up falling off which I have learnt was likely my scoliosis causing a rotation in my back and rolling a shoulder forward.
But it was the redness after I took the bra off that would bother me. So I came up with an idea!
Back Extensions
Sewing Straps

One day browsing around John Lewis in Oxford Street, I realised they had a haberdashery and I quickly bought myself wide bra straps and extendable back bra panels. I went home and started to cut the bra straps off and replace them with these wider straps. Heaven. What a difference! I had figured out how to reduce my discomfort and pain on my skin. The redness reduced at night.
Back in the early 2000s the work out and athleisure wear wasn't as common so this is all I had to work with. But then in my early 30s this range increased and I happily bought some sports bras. Again another revelation - much less pain and the chicas were supported and secure.

Find the Breast Bras
In lockdown, I reassessed all my clothes because let's face it, what else did many of us have going on?! I realised my bras were old so I wanted to treat myself. I started to order different bra styles from different places. Sports bras, crop tops, bras for the larger ladies - I tried so many places. And I found a few that to this day I still buy for the boobs!
My faves are crop tops with low support for day to day activities. And I will have one sports bra for my badminton playing sessions. As I have reduced my jumping activities those heavy use sports bras are a thing of the past.
Now my chicas are a C Cup or flat D but since I have been working on my back elongation I feel my back measurements will change.
However, I still want to look a little special while reducing pain and for special occasions. So this is my fave bra for exactly that purpose!

GRAB THIS BRA FOR YOUR LADIES HERE
I love that I can breathe while wearing it and don't feel it at all. The paneling works to hold the girls in place but allows expansion room and yes today I wore this while doing my scoliosis back exercises. I love it in black but thinking about the other colours as well. Highly recommend for those that get pain.
And I always get black bras - for some reason I find them a great colour. Love wearing them especially with neon tops and if the bra strap says hello, all the better!
